Dr. Victoria Sid

Scientific Research Coordinator

Dr. Victoria Sid is the Scientific Research Coordinator at Scimar. She coordinates research activities in Scimar’s lab, guiding the science team to meet research goals.

While working on her PhD in Physiology and Pathophysiology, Dr. Sid shared workspaces with Scimar at the Albrechtsen Research Centre. Her research focused on the pre-clinical study of metabolic disease and the role of natural health products as potential therapeutics.

With much mutual interest, Dr. Sid joined Scimar after graduating. She began as a Research Associate, developing a deep understanding and skillset related to type 2 diabetes. During this time, she voluntarily obtained additional education as a science liaison, bridging the gap between doing clinical work and running a lab.

In 2015, Dr. Sid was awarded a Young Investigator Award at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress Conference.

In her spare time, you’ll likely find Dr. Sid reading, on a long-distance run, or spending time with family and friends.
